Patient Driven Healthcare talk at Celebration of Excellence and Engagement

This virtual Royal Society of Canada symposium includes an introductory session that all attendees will be invited to view. It will provide an overview of the history of insulin discovery. Attendees are encouraged to select streams that explore different thematic aspects of insulin discovery and its legacy:

Stream 2 - Public Health Challenges: Building on the Resilience of Communities to Achieve

Health Equity

Stream 3 - Commercialization and the Future of Insulin and Diabetes Research

In partnership with the University of Toronto, the 2020 COEE will be a week-long scholarly, scientific and artistic exploration with enhanced digital engagement. Over seven days, from November 23 to November 29, over 1,000 delegates will engage in 50+ sessions featuring the insights of hundreds of scholars, clinicians, artists and scientists on the key issues of our time. There will be two international symposia: the G7 Research Summit on the Future of Digital Health; and a virtual symposium organized by the University of Toronto celebrating the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin, exploring the legacy of this discovery, and examining its intersections with COVID-19 research.
