My Stroke Team (MyST) app in the Globe and Mail

The ACHRU’s MyST app is included in the special feature of the national newspaper with researchers from the McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA).

Dr. Maureen Markle-Reid was interviewed about the web-based app that will enable home-care workers to share information in real time. Dr. Ruta Valaitis, co-leads the study with Dr. Markle-Reid. Testing of the MyST app begins in January.

The special feature also includes interviews with: Dr. Parminder Raina, Scientific Director, MIRA, Dr. Brenda Vrkljan, lead investigator with the Canadian Driving Research Initiative for Vehicular Safety in the Elderly, or Candrive, Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky, director of the Neuromuscular and Neurometabolic Clinic at the McMaster University Medical Centre and Dr. Matthew Woolhouse lead for McMaster University team that has developed a technology-based dance system.
