Fall Prevention for Older Adults with Cognitive Impairment Event

Did you know that those who are cognitively impaired are four to five times more likely to fall than those who are not? According to the Alzheimer Society, these falls carry three-times higher risk for fracture, and a five-times higher risk of hospitalization or transition to a long-term care setting. Join a panel of experts, including ACHRU Co-Scientific Director Maureen Markle-Reid, as they discuss what is needed to mitigate the risk of falls, particularly in those who are vulnerable.
