Download Patient and Public Engagement (PPE) in Research Public Lecture

Slides from Patricia Wilson’s PPE in health research public lecture are now available online. With support from the Labarge Optimal Aging Initiative, the ACHRU recently hosted a three-day event on PPE in health research. Dr. Patricia Wilson from the University of Kent, gave a public presentation, followed by an open discussion on the implications of PPE for the local community and researchers.

The following day she began a two-day workshop where patients, caregivers and researchers came together to explore the value and impact of PPE in research. Participants discussed the policy implications, gained practical insight into putting PPE into practice and considered the best approaches to evaluation. Stakeholders gained a better understanding of how to plan and strategize so PPE can become common practice in health research. A report from the event will be available soon.
