Dr. Ruta Valaitis Presents MyST in Seoul, South Korea

Dr. Ruta Valaitis was the only Canadian nurse to deliver a presentation at the 6th International Collaboration for Community Health Nursing Research (ICCHNR) in Seoul, South Korea. The conference, which attracted 750 of the world’s leading community health scholars and practitioners, provided participants with evidence to promote strategies for the advancement of high quality nursing care in the community.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Community-Based Care of Older Adults with Multiple Chronic Conditions

Dr. Maureen Markle-Reid is offering a one-year postdoctoral fellowship to build research capacity in health services research in Canada. The fellowship is a one-year full-time position with a preferred start date of March 1, 2016. This fellowship will provide an opportunity to engage in research, focused on developing and evaluating community-based interventions for older adults with multiple chronic conditions and their family caregivers.

ACHRU Receives $1 million Ontario SPOR Support Unit IMPACT Award

We are pleased to announce the Aging, Community and Health Research Unit (ACHRU) has received a $1 million Ontario SPOR Support Unit (OSSU) IMPACT award for Home and Community Care. Researchers will develop and evaluate a new hospital-to-home transitional care support program for older adults with chronic health problems and depression.
