Jenny Ploeg to Receive Legacy 2020 Centenary Award of Distinction

Jenny Ploeg will be receiving the Western University Legacy 2020 Centenary Award of Distinction this Saturday September 25, 2021.

She is one of 16 recipents of this award, one of three from the McMaster University School of Nursing along with Andrea Baumann and Donna Ciliska, who are also receiving the award.

Dr. Ploeg who retired in June, as Co-Scientific Director of the Aging, Community and Health Research Unit, is Professor Emeritus in the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University. She obtained her BScN and MScN from Western University. She received $10 Million in research funding as a principal or co-principal investigator and has over 220 peer reviewed publications. She received the 2018 Canadian Association on Gerontology Recognition Award for Excellence in Student Mentoring.
